Oh my God. Is Neal Caffrey Eugenides? In which case Peter is clearly the magus. Oh holy crap. And Peter/the magus breaks him out of jail so he can advise him/steal things. I mean, Neal and Gen... they're both adorable, and thieves, and no one can stay mad at them, and they make terrible choices in love.

Not that I ever slashed Gen and the magus (though after the last book, I'm convinced that Sophos has a HUGE crush on Gen), but holy crap. That's actually the same characters. Peter and the magus are both super smart, and working for The Man, but totally buddies with The Thief anyway.

Awww. If only Neal had a kick-ass sister. And if only Kate were way cooler than she has been so far.
