College list
Jul. 15th, 2004 08:36 pmSo far I'm looking at...
Wesleyan (CN)
Washington (MD)
Harvard and Yale (mostly just to see if I can get in)
Boston College
Dartmouth
maybe Princeton
Yeah, they're all horrendously expensive. I'm trying to find comfort schools now so that I can get in easily and get scholarships and state aid. So easier, in-state schools. Possibly McDaniel or Salisbury. Ursinus and York look cool, but I've only just started. And I was actually getting interested in The Mount, but they don't offer physics. So that's out. A shame. And CP and UMBC and all those are out because I want a little school. Anyone with suggestions can send them my way. But they need to have physics, and be under 10,000 students. Preferably under 7,000 or so, and the smaller the better.
This is frustrating, but kinda getting fun again for some reason. And I'm gonna try to start my essay while at the beach. I ove to write, but the idea that it's a college essay, and this is the ONE thing of mine that they're going to read makes me nervous. I have so many different styles. Which shoud I use? Light and happy or go to town with the imagry and emotion? I'm sorta trying to find a happymedium, but it's hard. Maybe *because* I like writing so much, I don't want to screw this up. The interview I'll be fine with. If they don't like me, I don't want to go there. I think, without sounding like a snob, that they'll like me. But I want to make a good impressionwith the essay.
Ah well. Visits this fall. Crossing my fingers...
