Shaking like a mad bull

1. Type in your birthday (minus the year) in the search bar at Wikipedia.com
2. List three interesting events, two births, and one death that happened on your birthday.
1. 1827 - The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad is incorporated, becoming the first railroad in |America offering commercial transportation of both people and freight.
2. 1953 - James D. Watson and Francis Crick announce to friends that they have determined the chemical structure of DNA; formal announcement April 25 following publication in April Nature (pub. April 2).
3. 1983 - The final episode of M*A*S*H is broadcast in the USA, becoming the most watched television episode in history, with 106–125 million viewers in the U.S. (estimate varies by source)
1. 1901 - Linus Pauling, American chemist, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry and Peace (d. 1994)
2. 1970 - Lemony Snicket, American writer
1. 1936 - Charles Nicolle, French bacteriologist, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine (b. 1866)
Ok, I tried to pick things I both knew and that were interesting, but I didn't know any of the deaths. When in doubt, pick someone cool. Also born on 2/28, but not put on the list, was Smarty Jones, near Triple Crown winner in 2004 (horseracing, for those of you who don't know).
My day was depressingly unproductive, which is starting to make me sound like a broken record on the weekends, but it's sad because I actually worked today, and still hardly made a dent in my work. Tomorrow I better be able to make myself hammer down again, or I will be seriously pissed come Tuesday.
If I can make it through Wednesday, I'm good. No class on Thursday, as per usual, and no class Friday, because it's Good Friday. I may even go to Mass. I should go tomorrow, because I like Palm Sunday, but I won't. I suppose I could go to the service here at school tomorrow evening, but I dunno. I'd rather go to real Mass, if I were going to go at all. Speaking of religion...

And now I'm off to be a dork. We went to a choir concert tonight, and they sang a song called "McKay." I was pretty pleased. Also, it was a cute performance. Any time you can get a college men's choir to sing from the HMS Pinafore and sing, in lusty tones, "We are sober men," and completely understand the irony, it's a great performance. I love our school.
