Fix your mind on a crystal day.
Sep. 7th, 2009 07:06 pmHome is good. I went to the Renaissance Festival on Saturday with Erika, Karen, Andrea, Amanda, and assorted family members. It was as awesome as ever, and included the wonderful Shakespeare Scum, the O'Danny Girls, and a bajillion awesome vendors and things to eat.
Sunday was The Great Family Day, and we had my grandparents, my grandmother's brother and his wife, my two out of town cousins, my crazy uncle and his wife and two kids, and all of my family. It was good times, and we ate a lot of crabs. Mmmm, crabs. And then Karen came over last night, and we hung out.
Today was much of the same except that this morning, I went down with Karen to meet my dad at the dealer to get my car!

Then I came back and hung out with Karen, Andrea, Megan, Jen, and more of my family. It was a good time. I let my mom drive the car up to the store and back.
Tomorrow I think I'm gonna spend the day with the grandparents, and then try to hang out with people in the evening. Wednesday, my dad and I are going to change the oil in the car and go over some mechanical stuff, and I'm going to try to see Megan's family. Thursday I have no plans yet, and Friday I hang out with Erika at UMBC and try to see what that place looks like. I also want to pick peaches sometime that day, and then I'll drive back to Tom's on Saturday. I'll spend that night and Sunday with him, and drive home on Monday.
And then it'll be back to work.
I was talking with Erika about TV, and lamenting the fact that I have no shows anymore, really, though I am starting Mad Men, so maybe. And I will have NFL. But the TV just reminded me that Heroes is still on, and is Smallville coming back? It's weird to me that two of the shows I used to love are still being aired, and I have very little interest in watching either of them.
Now I think for some more Mad Men, and sleep. Maybe some grad school research, although I remember a lot of schools not putting info up until October.
