dancinguniverse: (snakes)
Mad Men spoilers for latest episode )

I need to find a show again where I like most of the characters, instead of constantly despairing of them all. Unfortunately, I'm hooked on this one, where I like some of the characters, and am utterly fascinated by the rest, even when I dislike them (which is often).

*sigh* I want Dr. Who and Being Human to come back.

This ends my nightly hour of tv and dinner. Now back to studying. I will be so glad when the physics GRE is over, and I can relax again. My scores are still terrifying me, even with the amount of studying I've been doing. It'll all be over on Saturday, though. Here's hoping.

Now I'm really confused/concerned. I just took a third practice test, and got a great score - and it was obviously the hardest test, since you could get higher scores for less correct answers than on any of the other practice tests.

It was also mostly pure theory and a LOT of relativity, which is one of my stronger areas. But I was sort of under the impression relativity was just an easy topic. Maybe not, considering this test had a lot of it, and was apparently considered hard.

The test I've disliked the most was the first one, because it was all stuff I was really close to understanding, so I answered a ton of questions wrong. Whereas on this one, I got hardly any wrong, because either I could do it or I didn't even try. In fact, all of the ones I got wrong were because I misunderstood the question, or I screwed up in my math somewhere. I swear to God, I have a bachelor's degree in physics, regardless of whether I get into grad school, I should really be able to keep track of exponents.

Anyway, I got well over my target score tonight, so I think my big thing is to make sure I really know the equations that I understand. It's one thing to half remember a formula you don't really understand on a theoretical level. It's another thing entirely more frustrating to realize you know exactly how to do this problem - except is it r, or r squared?

I have basically a cheat sheet for all of intro physics, so I'm just going to study that between now and Saturday, and take the last practice exam.
