Ravens 30-Broncos 7
Nov. 1st, 2009 11:07 pm( So I'm totally jumping on the White Collar bandwagon. )
tl;dr: Yay, new show!
Also, the Ravens beat the undefeated Broncos! Crushed them into the dust, in fact! And I crushed in fantasy as well. It was a good weekend.
Halloween was cool, too. Interesting time: watching Psycho with a bunch of people when you're the only one who knows the ending. No one but me knew the big twist, and when Norman Bates first showed up, a bunch of people were like, "Aww, he's adorable!" One girl was like, "Isn't Norman Bates famous?" And I was like, "Yeah." And she goes, "No, but I mean in real life? Like, isn't he famous for something?" And I was like, "Yes, this movie. That's how well known this movie is. His character is actually that well known." Though I thought it was funny that she knew the name, but not why at all. And as we got further in, there were speculations on what the twist might be. It was really amusing, especially to see what people picked up on, and what they didn't. One girl was fixated on a minor character who has absolutely no influence on the plot. They have one line, but the girl swore the character was actually the key to everything. Nobody said anything about the biggest giveaway the movie has, namely ( Actually a spoiler, if you don't know the ending to Psycho ). It was great.
I also now know of three people who have never seen A Few Good Men, which is of course the movie containing the whole, "You can't handle the truth!" scene. So we need to have a screening, because that's just missing out on a priceless piece of pop culture. I really like it as a movie, besides, and I bought it at Blockbuster the other day for cheap, so I even own it now.
And now to bed, so I can finally go back to work tomorrow.
