And your heart's still beating.
May. 4th, 2010 10:19 pmWow. Today has been super productive. I feel like I know what my life looks like for the next little while, which always feels good to me.
( I found housing for the coming months! )
On top of that, I registered for Convergence, so if anyone else is going, they should let me know. I'd like to meet you in person! I've never been to this con before, but Tom says it's awesome, even if they don't have very awesome guests. Still, a NASA person and a Dr. Who writer should be fun. Even if they're not, you know, David Hewlett or Katee Sackhoff or David Tennant or Jenson Ackles. But apparently they have amazing parties, and the panels look like a ton of fun. Plus I get an excuse to come back to Minnesota and see people, especially my boyfriend and roommate, both of whom are going to the con.
I also found out that Punch Brothers are coming to Virginia in September. It's three hours from where I'll be, but it's a Friday evening, so I want to try and go anyway. They were amazing live. They're performing with Josh Ritter in two weeks in Boston, and I would kill to go to that concert. I love Josh Ritter, and Punch Brothers are one of my favorite bands ever. Man. It's horribly timed for me though, since it's the weekend before I move. Why so far, perfect concert?
( And then, work stuff happened, too. )
And last, but not least, people who love Star Trek fanfic should all go read Only Good for the Legends, by
leupagus, because I've been following it since she started, and it's been a long time since the last part, but it's finally done, and I really enjoyed it along the way. I think maybe it started off stronger than it's been lately, but that might be because the first parts came out closer together, so I just had an easier time keeping track of things. I'm going to read it straight through from the beginning, rather than just reading the last part now. Even if the end does trail off, I liked the beginning enough that I will still recommend it. Enjoy!
