NITA AND KIT, SITTING IN A TREE! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!

For the first bunch of books, I was all, "Man, I'm so glad they're great friends and there's no romance. How awesome." But somewhere in the last few, I've become a total Nita/Kit shipper. Yay!!!

I have to say, I haven't liked any of the later Wizard books as much as I loved the first four or so, but they still make me really happy.

Man. These past few weeks have been my childhood, resurrected. A new Thief book, a new Tamora Pierce book, a new Diane Duane book, and Temeraire, which obviously I didn't read as a kid, but man, I would have devoured them even back then. Actually, there really isn't any difference in how I read Temeraire as an adult and how I would have read them when I was younger. Except that Temeraire would have joined my crew of imaginary friends. I had tons and tons of them, but they were mostly characters from other stories who would talk to me. My fanfiction days started VERY early.

Oh, books. :)

There's a new Tamora Pierce book? Does it include proper use of the semicolon?
Also, I've... I've never read the Wizard books. I probably should, huh?
I think I read the first Thief book, but none of the others.

The first Thief book is, I think, unarguably the best. But the fourth one kind of made up for how not as good the middle two were. Not bad, just... I didn't quite follow where she went with some of the characters. And they were a little more depressing, and less adventuresome. But worth it, in the end, to add more to the story she's telling as a whole. And the fourth one was stupidly adorable.

Tamora Piece is slowly, slowly publishing a quartet about George's great-great-great grandmother, who worked for the Provost catching thieves and, from what I can tell, will eventually marry the King of Thieves, even though it's only barely hinted at so far. You read enough Tamora Pierce, you start to learn these things.

And the Wizard books are so much fun! You should at least read the first two, maybe four. If you get hooked, it's worth it to keep going, but I don't think they're ever quite as amazing after Book 4, and Books 1 and 2 are in a league of their own.

This summer, I will give you ALL my books!
