How 'bout me enjoying the moment for once?
May. 6th, 2006 01:28 amI wish all my Fridays were like this.
I got a hand massage at the Weyerhauser spa night. I wanted a real massage, but there was an opening for a hand one, and so I took that, and only found out afterwards that you could have one or the other, but not both. Sad. The hand massage was nice, though. Then there was ice cream with Vendi and D2, which was tasty.
Afterwards, a bunch of us went to the movies where we saw GoF, and watched Mission Impossible III. Honestly, it was a good movie. I mean, I'm not going to obsess over it or champion it for an Academy Award, but it was at least comparable to the other two (yes, the first is still the best).
I was pleasantly surprised by the kick-ass girls in the movie. ( MI:III spoilers )
Definitely worth the money to see in theaters, because it won't be half as impressive at home. Explosions are always more fun on the big screen.
Mostly, I just enjoyed being out with friends - and some new people, which is always fun. I love close friends, but I also like hanging out with people I don't always hang out with. I like variety. It was nice to go see a movie and enjoy a nice walk back, just goofing around and enjoying people's company, without any drama.
Packing is going all right. It's either going to work perfectly, or I'm going to be short an entire box, and I'll be sad. We'll see. I should probably also study tomorrow, rather than leaving it all to the last day.
Today was a good day.
ETA: Wow, I was just cruising imdb, and I have seen so many Tom Cruise movies. It's kinda sad, almost, but they were all good movies. Rainman? The Firm? Minority Report? Even Far and Away is cute. Damn. Like seriously, I haven't hated a single Tom Cruise movie, and I like most of them an awful lot. It wasn't the looks. He's just honestly in a lot of good movies. Kudos, Tom! Fix this crazy thing you're doing lately, and I'll admit to being a fan again!
