Oh, Diane Duane, I love you: Meetings on the Stair, wherein she talks about imagination, and lots of friends.
ETA: No, seriously, I love DD. Because when I read through her list of favorite characters, it's absurd how many of them I also know and love, and I love which characters in particular she's picked out of the many books we've read in common. Also, her characters which she's written, because I love them too!
( In other news, I've had a lot of weird dreams lately. )
Olympic opening ceremonies = awesome. Although I kept hearing bagpipes as everyone was entering, and I was suddenly absurdly homesick for Mac, because I want to hear bagpipe music just drifting in through my windows some mornings.
Also, way to go Russia, invading Georgia is really in the spirit of the games. Or Georgia, whoever started it. Really, maybe someone should ask the South Ossetians what they want, because it sounds like maybe they don't want help from either side.
