So the other day, Tom and I walked to get Izzy's, and on the way, Tom pointed out this church that looks like a Whomp, those guys in Mario who would fall on top of you and crush you. And we talked about Whomps and Thwomps for a while. So of course that night I had a dream about chicks, little yellow fluffy baby chickens, that were following me around, bouncing as high as my head in order to move, and they were called Boing-Oings. I love my subconscious.

And then last night I had a dream that there was this incredibly loud buzzing sound, like a bee but way louder, and so I freaked out and ducked, and Tom was all, "What are you doing?" and made fun of me for freaking out, like most people do when I spaz about bees and other creatures that buzz. And then I saw it, and it was the size of a crow, and it really was a bee, and I freaked (though not nearly as much as I would have in real life if a bee the size of a crow was flying around), and he still made fun of me. Why would you do that? Even in a dream? That's just mean.

Today the school gives all the science summer people a cookout lunch, and my adviser is giving a talk to the alumni who are here for Reunion Weekend, which we are invited to attend, and there may or may not be a physics meeting as well, since we're supposed to have one every Friday, but I haven't heard anything about time or place yet. I suspect little time will be devoted to actual work today. Which is cool. It's Friday. That's what makes Fridays good.
