Sep. 29th, 2009 06:53 pmSo my big break every day between work and mad studying for the GREs has been watching an episode of The West Wing while eating dinner. I'm starting from the beginning and going through, and I'm still in the first season. I just watched "He Shall, From Time to Time..." again, and God I love this show. I had actually forgotten how much I loved each and every person on the show, and how deep this show goes for me.
"You got a best friend?"
"Yes, sir."
"Is he smarter than you?"
"Yes, sir."
"Would you trust him with your life?"
"Yes, sir."
"That's your chief of staff."
And Leo standing in the next room, hearing every word.
Not to mention earlier, and the scene where Jed's in bed, and Leo comes to talk to him.
"I could have been a friend."
"You've been a friend."
"But when it was time to really...."
"I know."
"When I was lying on my face in the motel parking lot you were the one I called."
"When you stood up there today I was so proud. I wanted to be with you. I tried to get up and I fell back down again."
"I know the feeling."
